Responsibilities/Duties
· Take a leading role in driving product quality to enable the engineering team to meet its goals
· Provide technical leadership to senior and junior test team members
· Collaborate with business experts to thoroughly understand product and customer goals
· Define and implement black box ASP.NET, Web Services, .NET 3.5, IIS 6.0/7.0 and GUI test cases
· Scripting and programming using programming languages such as C#, shells, Python, nUnit, etc
· Hands-on experience with proprietary & open source test tools such as QTP, Selenium, FitNesse, Watin, etc
· Implement performance and profiling testing tools such as jMeter, WebLOAD,dotTracer, WPF, Redgate etc.
· Implement nUnit test frameworks and write tests to execute in those frameworks
· Perform manual testing as necessary
Technical/Professional Knowledge/Skills
· Knowledge and ability to use black and white box testing, automation frameworks, web based GUI testing, exploratory, performance and load testing
· Demonstrated ability to rapidly absorb product knowledge with the end goal of being recognized as a product expert
· Knowledge and familiarity with Linux and Windows environments for implementing test automation
· Prior experience in designing & implementing test frameworks across: o Functional acceptance tests via web services & automated GUI testing o System tests focusing on scalability, longevity and overall system performance
· Able to collaborate effectively in an Agile development organization with application developers, documentation staff and business owners
· Uncompromising in representing product quality to the development team and internal stakeholders
· Results oriented, focused on delivering value to the customer
· Knows how to keep it simple; building the simplest thing that will work
· Practices continual improvement, personally as well as at work
· Able to respond positively to change
· Likes to break things
· Able to work as part of a self-organizing team in which you determine your tasks on a daily basis in coordination with co-workers, rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you.
· *Most importantly you should be able to demonstrate great communication skill.
· *You should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of test methodologies and software engineering
· *You should also have experience testing one or more products through all phases of the software development life cycle
Required Education and Experience
· 4 year degree; BS CS/EE or equivalent work experience
· 2-5 years experience working in an Agile Software Development Environment
· 5+ years experience in and knowledge of black box testing, automation frameworks, and web based GUI testing
· 5+ years experience working for a software development company
Experience with the following technologies/tools:
· nUnit test frameworks
· C#, VB.NET, C++, QTP o Java/Shells/Python,
· Watin ,Selenium, FitNesse,
· Windows
