Position: Senior Software Developer - ChemDraw
Location: Kochi
Description
Take a senior role in the development of a desktop software application for chemical-structure drawing. Duties may include the addition of new features to the product, fixing existing bugs in the software, as well as migrating legacy cross-platform C++ code to C# and the .NET Framework.
Experience
• 7 or more years of professional software development experience
• Excellent OO (object-oriented) design skills
• Knowledge of OO design patterns
• Extensive experience with one or more of the following:
o C++ Programming
o C# Programming
o Java Programming
• Experience working on large projects (100,000+ lines code)
• Must be willing to program in C++ or C# and learn those languages if necessary
• Since the product deals with concepts in chemistry, a graduate education in chemistry or other physical sciences is preferred.
• Capable of working independently with minimal guidance
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Any of the following skills are preferred but not required
o Experience with Macintosh programming
o Experience with the Mono Framework
o Experience with COM, OLE, or ActiveX
o Experience with WPF
o Experience developing CAD (computer assisted design) software
