Ergin Kuke will discuss the methods, pipeline, budgeting and client expectation management of 3d/post production work in a small studio environment. Case studies on 3 music videos will be covered: Anjulie’s “Boom” (MTV Music Award’s Best Newcomer Artist Video), Regina Spektor’s “Laughing with God” and Beyonce’s “Sweet Dreams”.
The music video industry is not the huge money maker it used to be. One of the reasons they still get done is as a creative outlet and a means to “make a name” for the studios and directors involved. It tends to be a more freely creative environment, especially when young musicians and bands are in play.
Budgets are tight, deadlines are very tight and managing the layers between production houses, directors, musicians, music labels and the post-production house is a risky business. How to actually get the job, what creative input does the post production company have, budgeting of time and money, managing client expectations, pipelines and delivery methods.
Ergin will go over 3 case studies and explain how a 3-5 man studio finished 6 music videos in 2 and a half months. Results are sometimes great and sometimes less than great. Successes and shortcomings will be analyzed in an attempt to share the experiences and what was learned from them.

The centerpiece of this Lesson Module is the Troubleshooting video on demand (VoD) instruction. The split-screen format of each VoD module provides the powerful learning experience of shadowing a Cisco CCIE who is configuring and explaining a Troubleshooting process.

Duration

Seven Hours
Each VoD is approximately 1530 minutes in length, and the approximately seven hours of VoD modules are grouped into three blocks. A set of supporting “Spot the Issues” soft assessment quizzes are included in each block. In addition, two hands-on, technology-focused practice labs on the subject of the Troubleshooting are available in this Lesson Module.
Target Audience

The Troubleshooting lesson is for professional-level networking engineers who have 35 years of network engineering experience or who have completed the Cisco CCNP certification. This self-paced Lesson Module is for engineers who need to master CCIE-level problems that involve:
* Formulating a structured and consistent troubleshooting process
* Troubleshooting Link-Layer Technologies
* Troubleshooting IPv4 Routing Protocols
* Troubleshooting IP Services: IPv6, Multicast, Router QoS and NAT

Recommended Prerequisites and Corequisites

Learn English conversation first, because it is the key to the entire language. In other words, you must focus first on the spoken language and real conversation. Master English conversation before you worry too much about reading and writing.

By "real English conversation", I mean English as it is actually spoken by average native speakers in their day to day lives. By this definition, CNN and the BBC are not "real English conversation". In fact, an announcer reading a teleprompter isn't conversation at all!

There is nothing wrong with CNN or the BBC, but that style of English is not the style that is used in homes, in offices, and on the street every day. Announcers, for example, are very careful to speak in complete sentences, to avoid most slang, to speak very clearly, and to avoid using filler words.

Real people constantly speak in sentence fragments, constantly interrupt each other, constantly use idioms and slang, constantly smash words together into strange contractions, constantly speak quickly and constantly use filler words! That's why so many students have trouble when they visit the USA, Canada, the UK, etc… The English they hear on the street is nothing like the English they learned in school and nothing like the English they heard on the news shows!

Think about it this way: casual conversation is the FIRST kind of English that small children learn. Children first learn to chat with their family and friends. They become totally fluent at real conversation before they learn to speak formally and before they focus on reading or learn writing.

Follow this same natural approach. First, completely master everyday casual speech. After you can speak fluently in real conversations, then and only then focus intensively on reading. Read, read, and read some more.. but read easy novels… NOT textbooks!

After you have completely mastered easy English novels, and can easily finish a Stephen King novel in a week or two,.. then you can learn formal speech. Formal speech is the kind of speech you might use for a business presentation– the kind of English you hear on CNN or the BBC.
